Music is an essential part of the IOF Ministry. We have a blended style of worship using contemporary praise and worship music with some good old-fashioned hymns and gospel included.
There are several ways to become part of the IOF Music Ministry.
Praise Choir - The praise choir leads the congregation in praise and worship music during both Sunday morning services, teaching new congregational songs, and performing one special piece either as part of the sermon series or as the offertory music. Rehearsals are held every Thursday in the Sanctuary usually from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm. Please check the Music Calendar for rehearsal schedule.
Praise Band - The Praise Band provides instrumental praise and worship music for both Sunday morning services, with keyboard, guitar, saxophone and drums. Rehearsals held every Wednesday in the Sanctuary from 7:00 pm - 8:30. Must be able to play an instrument and read music.
Praise Team - The praise team leads the congregation in praise and worshipduring both Sunday morning services on the front line singing praise songs and teaching new congregational songs. Rehearsals are held every Thursday from 6:15 pm - 6:45. Auditions are held for praise team. Must be able to read music and be comfortable doing solo work.
Orchestra - The Orchestra joins the Praise Band for special occasions to add specific instrumentation such as woodwinds, brass and strings. Rehearsals are as needed. Must be able to play an instrument and sight read music well.
Sound - The Sound Team provides sound system support for musicians and speakers for all congregational gatherings.
Media - The Media Team provides visual graphics during worship service including words to songs, pictures, and videos.
